ARTICLES __________________________ Illumination with Color InfusionThere is a healing method that can be applied to most any problem, called the "Color Infusion". It is a modality using advanced Reiki techniques and color infusion, in a group setting. It will enhance the energy and brighten the being; using the colors of the chakra system and a guided meditation. In a growing field of study called Energy Psychology, attempts are made to unite subtle anatomy with psychology and quantum physics. An explanation is given here. An experiential class is available, in group format. Prepare for renewal! by Christina A. Hyland R.N. M.A.Occasionally I have been asked by other therapists, psychotherapists, and medical professionals "Well, ...just how do you get the results?" "How does one go about infusing a client with energy?" It is because of these questions, that I have developed this article and teaching tool. It is my profoundly held belief that some diseases and disorders first appear on a physiological basis, because of blocked emotions and unprocessed feelings. Often times, a client will cover emotional pain by easily dismissing it, or by avoiding the acknowledgment of discomfort. Hidden or buried feelings will cause a deeply disturbed physiological and anatomical response. After many years as a nurse, a mental health practitioner and a proponent of holistic health, I offer this. I have added the healing methods of Reiki Master to my "box of tricks" in the last several years. The guided imagery portion, is geared to be presented by those who have at least Reiki II, and have been in practice for a year or more. As part of our subtle energy anatomy, chakras are vortex centers and dimensional networks that can influence behavior at the gross and subtle cellular levels. When there remain unresolved emotional issues, these pent up feelings will register in the energy field as a disturbance or block. These blocks can manifest in physical symptoms and disease. One can often notice that after periods of extreme stress, a heavy feeling or a dull ache appears in the area above the belly button and below the heart; this is the solar plexus region. Blocks often appear here, as well as other areas. According to renowned healer Donna Eden and medical intuitive Carolyn Myss, as well as others; there are seven chakras or energy centers in the human body. Below is a brief synthesis:
By allowing these energetic centers to become enlivened, a natural flow of vitality is noticed. Examples of this natural flow are also experienced by runners, dancers, and those that practice yoga. Dr. Larry Dossey, author of Space, Time, and Medicine; synthesized the theories of quantum physics with medicine to validate the connection of health to human spirituality. Dossey refers to the healing spiritual nature of mankind as the "nonlocal mind". Simply stated, thoughts and energy are not confined by time and space. Thus, it stands to reason that momentum is gained by allowing the energy centers within the body, to be open, receptive, and enlivened. During his later years, Einstein spent much time explaining the relationship of gravity and electromagnetic energy in his unified field theory, and it was LIGHT; both literally and symbolically that most interested him. Light, as presented as color, is energy made visible. Colors are vibrations of energy particle waves, moving at various rates. Illumination with color infusion may be as simple as wearing a red shirt on a dull day, to the use of colored light therapy applied directly to the skin; via a small light probe, to walking in a field of flowers, and of course the wonders of guided imagery and energy work and Reiki in a group setting. The methods of access range from the simple to the most profound. I urge you to become open and receptive to the power of energy made visible, in color illumination. The Winds of AwarenessWith a wave of her hand, Mother Nature struck Florida recently with the power of hurricane Charley. Contained in this storm, were lessons, wisdom, and wake up calls, beckoning us back to a time of humility, grace, and patience. by Christina A. Hyland R.N. M.A.There are lessons in every event, or so I am told. Recently with mass force, my neighborhood was struck with intensity and iron handed fury, due to hurricane Charley. It was about 9:20 PM as I recall, as I sat quietly in a hall closet with my two sweet dogs Nora and Sara. There in that small space, we were reduced to the whim of nature and the power of the winds. I felt small and resigned to a fate beyond my control. I did not panic, I did not fear, for I accepted in my own small way, that what would be, would be. My dogs looked at me quizzically, as if to say "Momma I would follow you anywhere, but this is ridiculous". We were quiet, until the crush of noise and vibration shook us to the core - big things going on, outside our little space! There were so many others that felt the same way, at exactly that moment, in synchronicity. The next day, I brushed myself off, irritated that my coffee machine was not operating due to the loss of power. Starbucks became my prime focus, before I could think of anything else. Then it struck me, there is a bigger picture here, things going far beyond storms and my need for caffeine. When an event hits in our life, we are forced to take stock, to do inventory, to stop and think, to get out of our own way. I paused, as did many others; in an effort to re-attach to my prior rhythm and balance. I searched my library of coping skills within my own brain - finding some very simple and beautiful lessons, I had perhaps put aside. All things considered, I chose to revisit these once held profound beliefs. These wisdoms were basic and simple and wise, yet may have been set aside. They are as follows:
There is power in the storm, there are lessons in the turmoil. May we embrace the hurricane of change to reveal the grace of living holistically, and revealing once again ... that we are all small particles, blowing in the winds of radiance, where any direction is possible. Life Coaching for Rapid Change and ResultsProfessional Life Coaching is the new psychology of metamorphosis, using the power of commitment to achieve beneficial and measurable results in an expeditious manner. by Christina A. Hyland R.N. M.A.Professional life coaching is rapidly gaining popularity in the media, in order to raise awareness and promote access to this simple and highly effective method to affect life change. Large corporations and individuals alike are hiring the services of life coaches to reduce work related stress and improve overall quality of life on a personal level. In our fast paced world of multi-tasking and juggling work and family, there became an ever increasing need for the coach. Sports teams always use the expertise and guidance of a coach to prompt team members to excellence, and now more people are looking to the life coach for a transformative boost. It is a holistically based system, which concentrates on strengthening the commitment to attain goals quickly and clearly. Life coaching is not psychotherapy and does not revisit the past; it is however a literal toolbox of living skills for the present and future. It certainly helps to have a person with a fresh pair of eyes and an objective outlook to guide, assist, promote growth, induce clarity and cheer one on. One can hire a life coach for as little as three sessions and expect a positive outcome, but many use the coach for a series of up to ten sessions for maximum result. Results and outcomes are achieved by empowerment. The duty of a life coach has to do with identifying obstacles and barriers and assisting the client to remove the unwanted blocks. Maximizing potential and minimizing interference is the destination, in an island of renewed hope. The powerful speaker Anthony Robbins has said, "It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped". The simple decision to move forward and upward is as exhilarating as it is uplifting. Life coaching works on communication skills and styles, formulas for results, frames and re-frames, representational systems and rapport skills to name just a few "tools" one could pull out of this new metaphorical tool-box. Unlocking this box with the key of personal power is within the reach of anyone now! All articles here are the sole property of the author herself Christina Alexandra Hyland and are copyrighted.
